The illustration created by artist Paulo Albuquerque Cesáh was designed exclusively for the hake fillet dish with cockle rice, an iconic specialty of the Monte Mar restaurant. This project celebrates the brand's three core principles: the exceptional quality of its fish and seafood, outstanding service, and unique locations with breathtaking views.

The dish’s ingredients, including hake and cockles, are prominently and harmoniously represented, complemented by marine elements that visually emphasize the freshness and excellence of Monte Mar’s products. The elegant and dynamic lines reflect the brand’s commitment to high-quality service, conveying a sense of movement and sophistication that mirrors the experience of savoring this dish.

The privileged locations of Monte Mar restaurants—Cascais, Cais do Sodré, and Lagos—are also honored in the composition. Subtle details, such as depictions of boats, the Monte Mar Cascais building, the 25 de Abril Bridge, and the coastal landscapes of Lagos, are delicately integrated, evoking the stunning views that enhance each customer’s experience.
More than just a visual representation, this illustration seeks to figuratively and conceptually encapsulate Monte Mar’s identity as a reference of excellence in haute cuisine, while paying a special tribute to this signature dish.
